How should the watch be maintained?
It is recommended that medium and high-end watches should be maintained every two to three years. Replace the waterproof components, check the travel time performance and the power consumption of the movement. Clean the movement and maintain the appearance. Such maintenance service will effectively extend the use time of the watch.
When wearing a watch, sweat on your hands is corrosive to the case. The all-steel case has better corrosion resistance due to its nickel-chromium alloy. The semi-steel case is made of copper, which is prone to corrosion due to long-term contact with sweat. Always wipe off sweat with a soft cloth or put a plastic watch support on it. To prevent it from being corroded by sweat.
Do not open the back cover of the watch arbitrarily to prevent dust from entering the movement and affecting the normal operation of the watch.
Do not put the watch in a closet with mothballs to avoid deterioration of watch oil.
Do not place the watch on power amplifiers, stereos, or televisions to avoid magnetization.
Ordinary mechanical watches can be pressed on the watch with dry cotton when they are damp. Use a 40-watt light bulb to bake for 5 minutes. All the moisture on the inside and outside can be evaporated. If the quartz electronic watch gets damp, take a few small pieces of calcium chloride and wrap it with gauze. Then open the electronic watch cover, put the packaged calcium chloride and electronic watch into an airtight plastic bag or glass bottle, and seal it. Generally, moisture can be removed in about 3 hours and the electronic watch can be restored to normal. For severely damp watches, the moisture absorption time can be extended appropriately.
